New Developments
Dear 3rd Graders,
We have a new problem. The local newspaper learned that you were investigating the plight of the red wolves and ran an article. Farmers in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach and northeastern North Carolina are enraged. We need to begin making decisions about where to place the wolves.
Where is the best place for the wolves to be raised?
When answering the question above, there are some things you should consider.
- What are the opportunity costs?
- Consider the business owners, fild trip opportunities, etc.
- What is best for the wolves?
I really hope we can find a solution to this problem that will please everyone.
Sincerely,
Chuck Larsen

I believe that the red wolves should stay and the farmers just move thier flocks some where else. The red wolves need open space, not locked up in a cage. Red wolves NEED big area and large prey to eat and feed thier young.

I think we should take them to a place where people raise them and then release them to the wild

The best place for the red wolfs is the wild but, False Cape State Park might be a good place.

keep them in the zoo because the park rangers and the animal control offcer can take care of the wolves.

to stash they need to stay in the wild

I think that False Cape State Park is not a good place for the red wolves. Once they get bigger they will need more space. Move them to a place that has a lot of space.

I say that it is good for them to stay and live in false cape state park .
The farmers should just stay away from the pups.
Red wolfs are a rare animal.
I say keep them.

I think it’s a good place for them when they are little. But when they get bigger they will learn how to howl and that will bother the people that live near False Cape park. How will they sleep at night?
